Our customers – which include many Fortune 500 corporations and major government agencies – use our technology to derive tangible economic benefits through increased safety, security, productivity and operational efficiency.  We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join our Sales & Marketing Department.  

Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and execute sales campaigns;
  • Leverage existing relationships with senior government contacts to qualify and close significant business;
  • Win government funded R& D contacts;
  • Work with key Government contractors as required to meet revenue targets;
  • Prospect and follow up marketing generated leads to sell wireless monitoring and tracking systems to various government agencies and DOD;
  • Developing and implementing detailed account strategies, responsible for the management and co-ordination of all sales activities;
  • Forecast and deliver to revenue objectives;
  • Overseeing/executing the proposal management process from opportunity identification to contract award;
  • Establishing and growing business relationships with key decision makers, government and military leaders. Identifying and developing strong relationships, and appropriately utilizing advocates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 plus years successful business development and/or sales experience in this space and a comprehensive understanding of conducting business with the federal government;
  • Superior presentation, negotiation and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, lead and grow sales volume; ability to meet and exceed sales goals;
  • Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with key government contractors;
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, highly organized and have the ability to build, maintain, and close business on a consistent basis;
  • We are looking for a candidate who has sold high value solutions by leveraging existing relationships and business experience into targeted markets;
  • Utilizing compelling Return on Investment (ROI) calculations, asset management & tracking, and security are all potential application market development and sales strategies that candidates should have demonstrated experience;
  • Candidate should be able to drive sales campaigns that guide prospects through system analysis and financial justification resulting in customer investment in I.D. Systems, Inc. solutions;
  • We prefer experience selling technology based solutions with existing applications as well as understanding how funded modifications could lead to large market development.

This position reports directly to Senior Sales Leadership.
