System Engineer/industrial engineer

Our customers – which include many Fortune 500 corporations and major government agencies – use our technology to derive tangible economic benefits through increased safety, security, productivity and operational efficiency.  We are looking for a highly motivated System Engineer to join our Customer Service Department.  

The primary role of the System Engineer will be to support Sales Account Managers by working with qualified prospects to develop application and deployment strategies for how to best implement I.D. Systems’ technologies.  In addition to the strategy of how to apply Wireless Asset Net, the System Engineer will work closely with the prospect to identify financial and operational benefits to be included in any ROI analysis or funding approval processes.  Once the systems are launched the System Engineer will be responsible to ensure the customer achieves and recognizes all of the benefits that were forecasted during the project development and approval phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Wireless Asset Net product demonstrations to qualified prospects, both live and via Webinars
  • Review and assess target application areas at prospect’s sites
  • Determination of appropriate system options (sensors, beacons, etc.) to be included in system proposals
  • Create/identify cost savings opportunities that will enhance system ROI
  • Verify proposal content and implementation plans, prior to presentation to prospect, to ensure they are sufficient to deliver ROI expectations
  • Establish prospect specific reporting content and format necessary to ensure post-launch success
  • Perform remote and on-site data analysis and presentation post-launch to drive realization of all forecasted savings
  • Identify future opportunities for feature enhancements or system expansion that will enable incremental benefit
  • Institute key metrics for customer use to maintain/expand realized benefits

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Experience in planning or implementing lean material handling processes in manufacturing or distribution operations
  • Functional and applicable knowledge of 6-Sigma and/or Statistical Control methods and analysis
  • In depth knowledge of Wireless Asset Net hardware and software features and capabilities
  • Comfortable and experienced in both presentation as well as product demonstration roles
  • Knowledgeable of competitor products and able to compare and contrast with Wireless Asset Net capabilities
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Flexibility to travel as opportunities require
  • Positive and motivated attitude
  • High Integrity and work ethic
