Maintain Safe Equipment and Only Allow Authorized Users to Operate GSE
AvRamp™ improves ramp safety and airport security.
- Ensure only trained , authorized operators use an airside vehicle
- Create a safer environment for people and aircraft with impact sensing and operator accountability
- Achieve regulatory safety compliance with electronic vehicle inspection checklists and reporting
- Set geographic boundaries to prevent vehicle runway incursions
- Add a layer of security on the ramp - a last line of defense against unauthorized access to the aircraft operating area (AOA) with remote vehicle shutdown
Can you account for damage to GSE and aircraft?
Detect impacts and speeding to manage and reduce damage costs
- Create accountability by identifying and managing destructive driving behaviors.
- View real-time vehicle issues via the AvRamp Management Console, including over-speeding, restricted zone violation, impacts and more.
- Eliminate anonymous damage to GSE and aircraft by seeing the “who, what, where, when” of an impact.
- Record forces exerted on a vehicle via an impact sensor and kick off your preferred safety procedures.
- Impact sensing is set automatically on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis to minimize false impact alarms.
- Monitor GSE speed and automatically limit over-speeding.
Would you like to stop searching for “borrowed” or misplaced GSE?
Allow only authorized operators on your vehicles with access control and real-time visibility.
- Controlling vehicle access keeps your vehicles where they are assigned.
- Operators must log into a vehicle via an ID number or security prox card. This allows only trained and authorized operators to start the vehicle. GSE managers can also require an additional four digit “PIN” to avoid any misplaced or stolen identification risks.
- Locate GSE and operators on a map of the airport—in real-time.
- Associate all vehicle activity with a specific operator, including real-time location and movement history.
- Create groups of operators authorized to use individual vehicles or fleets of a certain type of vehicle. Information can be updated anytime and relayed to the vehicles in real-time without manual intervention.
- Integrate an automatic feed from an existing personnel database so operators are automatically entered and personnel records are always accurate.
How can you secure your GSE vehicles?
Protect GSE against unauthorized use and ensure vehicles do not enter dangerous areas.
- Enable automatic geo-fencing to restrict GSE entry/use in secure areas, prevent vehicle runway incursions and track movements of authorized GSE.
- Secure the ramp and all surrounding areas by having the ability to automatically shut down any vehicle in real-time.
- Safeguard against the communications network going down and impacting operations. Each vehicle’s technology is individually intelligent and will continue to enforce operator access and geo-fencing boundaries and store relevant data until the network is available for transmission.
- Avoid interference with communications or emissions from surrounding equipment.
- Restricted access to the AvRamp Management Console software ensures that only authorized managers can access personnel information and control vehicle access.
Can you currently prevent operators from driving vehicles with known repair or safety issues?
Remotely lock out unsafe GSE vehicles due to repair problems
- Wirelessly lock-out vehicles that are unsafe to drive and only allow access by maintenance or management.
- Automatically require supervisor intervention for “unsafe” GSE conditions.
- Generate reports to be notified of upcoming preventative maintenance and schedule accordingly.
- Drive operator satisfaction because vehicle problems can be resolved by the next time the log-on to the vehicle.
Can you ensure each vehicle is safe to operate on a daily basis?
Use electronic checklists that create comprehensive safety records and reporting options
- Ensure vehicle safety checklists are performed and documented to identify operating conditions that compromise vehicle safety and adherence to regulatory statues.
- Mandate that all operators must complete a vehicle checklist.
- Create custom checklists for each vehicle type and determine how often they should be completed (once per operator, once per shift etc.).
- Differentiate between problems with three severity levels, normal, warning and critical and create your own consequences. For example, if a critical problem is identified, like “brakes do not work” the vehicle is automatically shut down and no one can use it until it is repaired.
- Customize checklists to collect not only regulatory questions, but also any other data you would like to capture.
