I.D. systems receives aviation industry award for avramp®
vehicle management system

Las Vegas, NV, March 17, 2010—I.D. Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDSY), a leading provider of wireless asset management solutions, today received the Ground Support Leader of the Year award for Engineering Innovation at the Aviation Industry Expo in Las Vegas. I.D. Systems’ AvRamp® Wireless Vehicle Management System and its principal architect, company founder and President, Ken Ehrman, were recognized in a ceremony on the show floor.

Mr. Ehrman and the AvRamp system were nominated by American Eagle Airlines, Inc., which has deployed the technology on fleets of aircraft ground support equipment at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

The AvRamp Wireless Vehicle Management System was developed in part through Transportation Security Administration funding, is authorized for use at U.S. airports by the Federal Aviation Administration, and meets the requirements of the U.S. technical standards for airport access control. The system provides a wide range of management functions to address common industry challenges for airport vehicles, including: automatic on-vehicle driver authentication; electronic vehicle safety checklists; vehicle speed monitoring and impact sensing; real-time equipment visibility with geo-fencing boundaries that define “off-limits” areas; automatic fuel conservation functions; and multiple data reporting tools designed to optimize fleet utilization.

“We were gratified that American Eagle Airlines’ experience with AvRamp led to its nomination for this award, and we are honored to be recognized for our contribution to the safety, security and operational efficiency of airport ground operations,” said Mr. Ehrman. “AvRamp, with its patented, wireless technology for controlling, monitoring and managing airport vehicles, is the first system of its kind to be deployed at airports in the United States.”

Ground Support Leaders of the Year awards in six categories are determined by vote of the Editorial Advisory Board of Ground Support Worldwide, a leading aviation industry publication, after an extensive review of nominations. The Engineer/Innovator Leader of the Year award, specifically, is given to the company or person that has introduced a “revolutionary product” for the aircraft ground support industry.
