Opti-Kan^®

Opti-Kan is an optimized electronic “Kanban” system for automated “Just-in-Time” materials replenishment in manufacturing operations. An optional module of the PowerFleet^® Vehicle Management System (VMS), Opti-Kan automatically directs task requests to the optimal industrial vehicle operator. These task requests are triggered directly from the production line—either automatically (e.g. from a Programmable Logic Controller) or manually (e.g. from an I.D. Systems Line Asset Communicator™).

Opti-Kan is ideal for manufacturers seeking to eliminate line-of-sight replenishment processes and improve lean manufacturing practices. Opti-Kan provides:

• automated, electronic, wireless task management for parts replenishment to eliminate the need for line-of-sight, card-based, and manual Kanban systems
