The Wireless Asset Net® is a patented system built specifically for tracking and managing all industrial vehicles (lift trucks, tow tractors, cranes, etc) in supply chain environments, including manufacturing and distribution facilities.

The Wireless Asset Net incorporates many functionality modules, available in an almost infinite number of combinations, including:

• Access control creates accountability by restricting vehicle use to authorized operators
• Driver ID, electronic OSHA checklists, impact sensing, speedsensing, and other safety management tools
• Motion/idle detection, load sensing, travel distance monitoring, peak utilization analysis, and other productivity measurement tools
• Real-time vehicle location tracking, automated text dispatching, and other directed-work, productivity and visibility tools

Core System Components

A Vehicle Asset Communicator™ (VAC™), installed on each vehicle, is the primary communication tool between the driver, the vehicle and management. It is individually “smart”, intelligently collecting, transmitting and reacting to key vehicle data, so you can decide what vehicle activity you want to manage, and precisely how you would like to manage it. This self-contained intelligence also allows the VAC to operate independently, regardless of wireless communication connectivity or network availability.

A Wireless Asset Manager, mounted strategically around your facility, is an intelligent wireless communication system that automatically collects and transmits information between the Wireless Asset Net® system software and an unlimited number of vehicles. Wireless Asset Managers have proven to reduce the burden on corporate IT departments, provide the lowest total cost of ownership, and allow unlimited data collection without reliance on other systems or public networks.

The Wireless Asset Net® Management Console is a software suite that gives you visibility and control of your industrial vehicles, including real-time vehicle location tracking, a wide range of management tools, and comprehensive, flexible on-demand or automated data reporting.

The Wireless Asset Net® also integrates sub-systems for specialized functionality, such as Opti-Kan™ , an optimized electronic kanban system. Opti-Kan™ automatically directs task requests to the optimal industrial vehicle operator, triggered by signals from the production line—either automatic (e.g. via a Programmable Logic Controller) or manual (from a Line Asset Communicator™ or LAC™ ).
